Nestled amongst the old shady gum trees and perfectly located at the base of Mt Buller, this charming cottage provides comfort, warmth and cosiness; ready for your next family holiday.
Accommodating up to 8 guests, Blue Bird Cottage is ideally set up for a small family or two with 3 bedrooms (all with heating), open plan lounge, dining and living area plus large front and back verandah /decking areas
The lovely front deck is perfectly positioned to allow you to relax & unwind with a cuppa soaking up the morning sun. Whilst out the back, you have the private yard featuring the BBQ and designated fire pit Plus space for the kids to run around.
With two queen rooms downstairs it is perfect for a couple of couples to come together and wine and dine while the kids have the space to be kids in the upstairs bunk room. Fitted out with TV, couches, desk space, Split System and their own bathroom.
In winter take the easy 3min drive to the entrance of Mt Buller, go for a bush walk or simply keep cosy indoors, relaxing on the couch by the crackling of the wood fire reading a book or watching a movie.... For that real country feel, take the kids and toast some marshmallows outside by the designated fire pit *conditions apply
In the warmer months, wander down to the Delatite river for a paddle or splash in the cool clear water. Take the fishing rods and try your luck at catching a trout; or pack a picnic to the lovely Mirrimbah park only minutes away from the cottage. Bring your bike and go for a leisurely ride around the quiet Sawmill Settlement streets.
Apart from being one of the best locations for snow activities, there are many nearby attractions including horse riding, cycling, 4-wheel driving, motor bike riding, markets, plus much more and with an abundance of wildlife, great fishing and a relaxing atmosphere, you won't want to leave!

Summary: This house is perfect as a base for a ski trip. We equipped, very comfortable and perfect for families. Great to have the kids space upstairs. Communication for the booking was easy and they were very responsive in helping to resolve a tv issue! Highly recommend.

Summary: We stayed at Blue Bird cottage because our friends were also in Sawmill Settlement. It was tidy, warm, easy and fun. Driving to Buller was very simple. Only thing was if you get in late, key was in Mansfield ( not in lock box at property ) which was sl confusing. Excellent otherwise

Summary: Me and my 2 adult children recently travelled from Perth over to Mt Buller for a skiing holiday. We stayed in this property at the base of the mountain and it did not disappoint! The house is located in a quiet picturesque settlement, surrounded by trees and wildlife. The property was clean, spacious, warm and had everything we needed and more!. We felt very comfortable and at home! Leith (property manager) was awesome to deal with and went beyond the call of duty to make sure we were well catered for and happy! Would definitely stay there again, highly recommended!!!

Summary: Great location-about 5 mins from the base of Buller. Set up is perfect for those with children-upstairs area with bunks, tv, couches, bathroom. Kids loved it and it allowed the adults some time alone downstairs. Good kitchen, laundry facilities, good heating and great's communication from property manager.

Summary: My son and I stayed at the beautiful, tranquil Sawmill Settlement for 3 nites over new years. The property is immaculate inside with new furnishings to make you feel at home. Upstairs, my son was in heaven with his own retreat area including 2 bunk beds and his own TV and bathroom! Outside are 2 generous decks to enjoy some visiting birds or a quiet BBQ out the back. We'll definitely be returning for another stay, 3 nites just wasn't enough!
